New Campus Watchdog Group Launches Today - Creates Student Media Network and Provides Support Services for Campus Activists
An innovative campus watchdog group has been launched today (www.oncampus.therealitycheck.org) which seeks to foster greater transparency on college and University campuses on issues relating to academic freedom, bias and intellectual diversity.The Reality Check "On Campus" is an independent new initiative developed by TheRealityCheck.org, Inc. (www.therealitycheck.org).
The primary purpose of this group is to support and develop its growing network of on-site Campus Journalists, student activists and student groups nationally.
Newsworthy issues and alerts originated by this network will be regularly published to an extensive national media audience.
Campus Journalists have already been assigned to a number of colleges and universities throughout the country and the list continues to grow.Campus Journalists, groups and participating student activists have access to extensive support resources to include event sponsorship, coordination and media training.
A comprehensive web site has also been built which acts as s central access point for news, information and resources.
The site incorporates the ability for the on-line submission of items for review and potential media distribution."Academic bias and lack of intellectual diversity have become a pandemic across our campuses," says TheRealityCheck.org President and On Campus Executive Director, Gary Schneider.

Maine School Becomes MSATP Loophole to Bypass the Mississippi Exit Exam.
The North Atlantic Regional High School in Maine has released a new web site guiding Mississippi high school seniors around the consequences of failing the MSATP exit exams.
Maine has no required exit exam.
The administrator of the school, Steve Moitozo, says, "When Exit Exams are used against the student, that is unfair.
A student may have done everything required to graduate (perfect attendance, passed every course, done all the homework, have a passing GPA, earned all the credits, etc.), but if that same student cannot pass EVERY section of this one massive test, the student is denied a high school diploma.
That is not fair, but it is the law in over 25 states."But it is NOT the law in Maine.
Moitozo's high school in Maine is a state-authorized, fully accredited private school. Recently high school seniors victimized by high school exit exams have found this Maine high school, transferred their credits, and earned their diplomas.
